The Master of Arts degree in Sinhala intends to provide students an in-depth knowledge in Sinhala language, literature and culture. It will help students to develop their skills and potentials for career advancement. The programme aims at providing an in-depth knowledge in the subject, enhancing abilities of students in critical evaluation of existing and new knowledge, training students in producing scholarly documents in elegant and correct Sinhala and creating and enhancing THE research abilities of students. The programme is generally offered in the Sinhala medium, but it can also be offered in the English medium on request.
