Languages and Literature Studies
The Board of Study for Languages and Literature Studies offers postgraduate study programmes and other training programmes in Sinhala, Tamil, English and Arabic. About 60 students follow postgraduate diploma, masters’ and doctoral degree programmes under this Board of Study annually.

Admission Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification; and
- An equivalent qualification; AND
- Two years of work experience
Qualification Requirements
- Master of Education degree is awarded upon satisfactory completion of 32 credits in a distribution of 24 credits from course work, 6 credits from a guided research and another 6 credits from an independent project.
